About PPI Forums
There is a PPI Forum for each NHS Trust and Primary Care Trust in England. PPI Forums are made up of patients and members of the public and mirror the profile of their local community. PPI Forum members influence how local services develop. They are free to adapt the way they operate to best meet that community's needs.

PPI Forums are a key vehicle for raising awareness of the needs and views of patients and the public, and placing them at the centre of health services. They will have a number of primary roles, which include:
  • Obtaining the views of patients and carers' about health services and to make recommendations and report to the NHS
  • Making reports and recommendations on the range and day to day delivery of health services
  • Influencing the design of and access to NHS services
  • Providing advice and information to patients and their carers about services
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of local Patient Advice and Liaison Services (PALS)
PPI Forums work together to share experiences and to address common issues.

If you are interested in becoming a PPI Forum member please go to PPI Forum Member recruitment to register your details.
